How To Properly Store Your Lash Adhesive
Properly caring for your eyelash adhesive can make all the difference in creating that beautiful set of lashes for your client.
Diameter, length—these factors depend on the bond you create—which means you need to take extra special care of your adhesive to ensure it's ready to use.
Here are three tips to help prolong the life of your lash glue:
Shake Up that Adhesive
The ingredients in your adhesive can separate over time, making it vital to shake the bottle before and between lash appointments.
Shake your adhesive vigorously for at least 2 minutes at the beginning of each day, especially when you open a new bottle.
The bottle should be lightly shaken between clients as well to keep it from clumping.
Keep it Fresh
The average shelf life of an adhesive is roughly four to eight weeks once opened.
Characteristics of a bad batch include a cloudy bond that is stringy when dipping lashes.
Be sure to shake your adhesive vigorously and check out their drops.
It would help if you were changing your adhesive drop every 15-20 minutes to ensure it is always fresh for your client and ready to create the best bond.
Give Your Adhesive a Good Home
When it's time to put your adhesive away at the end of a long workday, always place it in a dark, cool, dry environment.
If you have one on hand, store your opened adhesive in a small airtight container with silica/oxygen absorbers.
However, a cool dark drawer or cupboard instead of the fridge works just as well!
Happy lashing!
Until next time,
